Devotional – December 24, 2011

VERSE:
Luke 1:34–Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?”

TRUTH:
When we hear God tell us His plans often our first thoughts are about the practical obstacles that stand in the way, just like Mary when she heard she would give birth to the Son of God. Yet, God is not bound to the practical, and He can do amazing and miraculous things. Do we trust God to do what He’s promised in our life even when it sounds impossible or unbelievable?

RESPONSE:
Lord, help me to trust that You will do what You say even when it doesn’t make sense. You are over all things and able to do anything You choose to do. I will trust in You and Your promises.
