Devotional – November 5, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 106:8–Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name, that He might make His power known.

TRUTH:
As this psalm recounts the entire history of the Israelite people, it tells of all that God has done for them. Why did God save them? For the sake of His own name. That is why He saves us. That is why He does the things that He does, for the sake of His name. Is everything that we do done for the purpose of pointing people to Christ and glorifying His name?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I thank You for all that You have done for me and I praise You for all that You have done. Thank You for being worthy of the praise Your name deserves.
