Devotional – August 29, 2011

VERSE:
1 Timothy 2:1–First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men.

TRUTH:
Do we pray for others? More than that, are we entreating God to work and move in and through the lives of others with such intensity and passion that it doesn’t matter what our personal thoughts are toward that person? How about our leaders and those in authority, do we pray for them? We are urged by Paul to lift up and intercede for all people.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I want to lift up to You my fellow people around the world. Guide them, lead them, and help them come into a right relationship with You.
