Devotional – August 21, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 66:12–You made men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water, yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.

TRUTH:
God tries us, as it mentions a few verses earlier in this chapter. He allows certain things to be brought into our lives to both teach and to test. However, if we will lean on Him, He will bring us through into a place of abundance in our relationship with Him. Each trial is an opportunity to more fully trust God.

RESPONSE:
Lord, when You allow the difficulties in my life today, I will trust that You will bring me through. You alone are able to make it through the trials You’ve given me.
