Devotional – August 16, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 61:2–From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

TRUTH:
There are days when, regardless of the truth of our relationship with God, we just don’t “feel” like we’re close to God. On those days when our heart is faint, we must cling to the truth that God is our rock and doesn’t move. He is greater than we are and is always there even when we don’t “feel” His presence.

RESPONSE:
Lord, thank You for being my rock! No matter how I feel today, I rest in the truth that You hear me when I cry to You and are leading me in Your ways.
