Devotional – July 5, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 35:20–For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the Lord.

TRUTH:
Even if we are following Jesus in every way, there will be people who say wrong things and lie about us. How do we respond when we are wrongfully accused? Instead of complaining to anyone and everyone, we should bring our concerns to God. He is our defender and protector. He will lead us in how to respond to those people.

RESPONSE:
Lord, when others speak wrong against me, I pray You will defend me. I will wait on You to lead my every step.
