Devotional – June 17, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 17:1–Hear a just cause O Lord, give heed to my cry; give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips.

TRUTH:
When we come to God in prayer, are we honest with Him? Or do we just pray about trivial things in our life and not the true issues we are facing? For me, it can be easy to just gloss over prayer and to not always take the time to share my deepest concerns with Him. Do we pray with passion for the things we want to see Him take control of in our lives?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I come to You truthfully admitting where I am. You see me anyway, and I need You in every area of my life!
