Christian Devotional – April 12, 2015

We just completed book 3 in Psalm, so let’s head over to the New Testament for a few days.

Read Philippians chapter 1

VERSE:

Philippians 1:10–so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

TRUTH:

Notice, we’re not supposed to be looking for the good things in our life. We are to be looking for the best. What is God’s best for us? As we grown in our obedience and knowledge of Jesus and His will for our lives, we will be better able each day to discern the things that are God’s best for us. Don’t be willing to settle for only the good things in life. Be focused on what is God’s best!

RESPONSE:

Father, I want to be pure and blameless for You because that is what is indicated is best. I want to see Your best in every day and every situation. Give me the eyes to see exactly what You see and do exactly what You would do. I need Your wisdom today!
