Go and Do, Day 16

There is a path to escape. Read James 4:7-12.

James has shared with us the importance of keeping God first in everything. However, he also understood the practical day to day application of that was incredibly difficult. We are going to be tested and tried at every turn. There will be times we are barely able to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

But, James wanted us to know that we can be rescued. There is a way out from this path. In verse 7, he spells it out. We are to resist the devil and submit ourselves to God. If we do these 2 things, Satan will flee from us. We can find the path out. We can walk in victory. But, our victory is dependent upon our submission to God and our resisting Satan in all his schemes.

Are we resisting Satan? Are we submitting to God? These two must go together and they provide the pathway out.
