The Message – #9

Hope. There is hope that things will get better. As we look at Isaiah chapter 9, we see him continued to tell us about the hope that will come one day. We focus on verse 2.

The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.

There will be a light that will shine in the darkness. Isaiah continues predicting the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ and explaining how he will overcome the darkness. We have all felt in darkness at some point in time or another. And that’s because we have all been born into sin. Christ is the light in this world of darkness. Only through him, will we be able to understand and see and find the light.

Are we looking for the light? Sometimes we don’t even realize the darkness that we are truly in. But once we understand the sin that is in this world and the darkness that surrounds us, the light of Jesus Christ shines all the more brightly leading us to himself. Are we willing to go after the light? Are we willing to leave the darkness and seek out the hope that is found in Jesus Christ?
