The Message – #11

God is God. It doesn’t matter that Jesus Christ came and took the form of man, He was God and had all the characteristics and attributes of God. Reading Isaiah chapter 11 today, focusing on verse 2.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord .

As he talks about the branch from David, he is talking about Jesus. Jesus, while he was fully man and was born into the line of David, he was also fully God and therefore had all the characteristics of God. He acted and thought and saw things as God. We should never forget that the very one who paid the price for our sins also fully understood those sins and their cost.
