Salvation leads to strength which leads to service. As Paul is writing to Timothy, he shares the gloriousness of salvation and then write this verse. Read 1 Timothy 1:12
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service,
1 TIMOTHY 1:12 NASB

When Paul was saved by grace through Jesus Christ, Christ strengthened him and then because he was strengthened, he was put into service. Paul knew that the salvation that Jesus Christ brings comes with purpose. Christ saves us, not so we can just be ourselves. Christ saves us so that we could allow him to live through us. Jesus Christ in us is how we are strengthened. And because we have his strength, we have the same responsibilities that he does. We are used for service so that way we can see others come to know Christ and accomplish all that Jesus Christ would have us to accomplish.
Have you receive salvation? If so, you have been strengthened. The strength that has been given is so you can act and serve. Are you serving Jesus Christ today? If not, are you allowing the strength of Jesus Christ to live through your life as a result of asking him to save you?
