The Message – #17
Forgetful. The people had forgotten what God had done for them. Read Isaiah chapter 17 and focus on verse 10.
For you have forgotten the God of your salvation And have not remembered the rock of your refuge. Therefore you plant delightful plants And set them with vine slips of a strange god.
Isaiah 17:10 NASB

God had done amazing things for them, the people of Damascus. However, they had forgotten God. The things that they were doing they weren’t doing to God. They were not trying to please him and they were not trying to worship and exalt him.
Do we recognize all that God has touched in our lives? We look around and we see the difficult and troubling picture of the world but do we recognize God’s blessings through all of it? Even in the darkest times God has still allowed us the opportunity to learn and to grow and to praise and worship him.
Are we taking advantage of all that God has allowed for us or have we forgotten him and what he has done? God is over everything, even COVID-19. Do we recognize all that God is doing, even though this time and do we praise him for it?
