The Message – #19

The goal is repentance. Everything that God allows and brings into our path is for the purpose of bringing us closer to Him. Read Isaiah chapter 19, focusing on verse 22.

The Lord will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to the Lord, and He will respond to them and will heal them.

As he has been talking about Egypt, we read about the judgement that God is going to bring on them, yet then we get to verse 22 and we see the whole reason for it. God is seeking their repentance. God is allowing them to get to the place where they realize their need for repentance.

God allows so many things in out lives. Yet, his goal and purpose is to bring us to a place of repentace and worship of Him. Everything is for that purpose. Even as we look at our world today, we see the same focus. Something as simple as personal changes or as widespread as COVID-19, God desires to see that bring us to a place of repentace and worship of Him.

Are we seeing Him in all our circumstances? Do our circumstances push us to greater worship of Him? They should. He is worthy of all our praise and worship.
