VERSE:
Romans 12:8–if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
TRUTH:
Paul is encouraging the believers that no matter what God has gifted them to do, they should do it. That seems silly to have to remind people to do what they are good at, yet how many times do we try to be someone or something else because we think they are better, have more stuff, bring more glory to God, etc. God has given each of us a gift and when we use it, we bring God the most glory. Are we using the specific gifts that God has given us to glorify Him?
RESPONSE:
Father, I want to do what brings You glory. I am not anyone else, I am me and You made me. I will praise You and glorify You by being exactly who You created me to be and using the gift that You gave me. May You be glorified in all that You do through me!
