Christian Devotional – April 6, 2014

Read Deuteronomy chapter 22

VERSE:

Deuteronomy 22:1–If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it, but be sure to take it back to its owner.

TRUTH:

“Finders Keepers” has been a popular phrase. However, that’s not what God teaches here. If we happen to find something and we know who owns it, we are to keep it safe and return it. Do we follow through with that or seek to keep things for ourselves?

RESPONSE:

Father, You see what we do. Help me to have a generous and giving spirit that loves You and shows that love by how I treat other people’s things. I will return what belongs to others.
