Christian Devotional – August 13, 2016

Read 1 Kings chapter 19

VERSE:

1 Kings 19:18–Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel–all whose knees have not bowed to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.

TRUTH:

Elijah felt alone. He didn’t see others standing for God and he didn’t think anyone cared. Elijah got depressed. God had to pull him aside and remind him that he’s never alone. God always sees a bigger picture than we do and God always knows more than we do. God reminded Elijah that no matter how alone he felt, God was with him, but God also had several other people who were in the exact same circumstance as Elijah. We are never alone with God. He always sees us and is always with us.

RESPONSE:

Father, I thank You for seeing me in every circumstance that You have brought me through. I know that You have the exact right plan in the exact right place for me. Thank You for all that You have done for me.
