Read Luke chapter 8

Luke 8:15–But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.

What type of soil are you? In this parable, Jesus explains the way in which different people hear the Word of God and respond. The characteristics of the good soil are honesty, integrity, tenacity, and responsiveness. When we hear the truths of the Word of God. Do we hear it and honestly evaluate our lives in comparison to it. Do we evaluate not just our results but our motives as well? Do we hang on to the truth no matter what and continue to act obediently even when things come against us? What does the truth look like in our lives today?

Father, I pray that You will make me into good soil. I want to hear and obey Your Word so that You can produce Your fruit in me. Thank You for all that You have done in my life and continue to plant the Your Truth daily.
