Christian Devotional – August 28, 2012

VERSE:
Galatians 1:10–For am I now seeking the favor of men or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond servant of Christ.

TRUTH:
What are we seeking after and striving for? The answer is quite simple; we are either seeking after God or men. We are either concerned with pleasing God or men. It cannot be both. We must decide who we are striving to please. If we choose to please other people, we are automatically choosing to not please God.

RESPONSE:
Father, I get so distracted sometimes by my desire to please people that I lose focus on pleasing You. I am so sorry! Change my heart and give me undivided focus on You and pleasing You alone.
