Christian Devotional – December 11, 2012

VERSE:
Acts 25:27–“For it seems absurd to me, in sending a prisoner, not to indicate also the charges against him.”

TRUTH:
Festus was the new governor in the area and he inherited a prisoner: Paul. However, Festus didn’t know or understand why Paul was in prison or why the Jews were so angry with him and demanding his death. So, Festus decided to hear Paul speak so he could get a better idea what is going on. Paul took the opportunity to share and fully explain Jesus Christ to him and all who listened in.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I want to take every opportunity to share and explain who You are and what You’ve done in my life, even the most unexpected opportunities. If I, like Paul, am to be charged with being a Christian, I want to make sure the people charging me know exactly what that means.
