VERSE:
Leviticus 1:3–“If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer it, a male without defect; he shall offer it at the doorway of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord.”

TRUTH:
The Israelite people were being instructed on the offerings to God. They were not required to bring this particular offering, but they could. If they chose to bring it, then there were certain instructions to follow so that their gift would be accepted. As we think about Jesus and all that He is as the perfect sacrifice, we see that He was without defect and that He is the perfect and pleasing sacrifice to God on our behalf. Because of Him, we may be accepted before the Lord.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are Holy and righteous. You are the perfect sacrifice and You are what is pleasing to God. Because of You, I am able to be made right before God. I praise You and thank You for making it so I can be accepted by God today.
