Christian Devotional – December 20, 2012

VERSE:
Leviticus 6:5–or anything about which he swore falsely; he shall make restitution for it in full and add to it one-fifth more. He shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day he presents his guilt offering.

TRUTH:
Forgiveness and restoration go hand in hand. God instructs the people that they are to make restitution at the same time they bring their guilt offering. Part of restoration is to do whatever it takes to make right a wrong. When we’ve wronged others, do we try to make it right, along with asking for forgiveness?

RESPONSE:
Lord, when I can, I want to make right any of the wrongs I have committed. I will honor You in all I do, even in how I ask for forgiveness from You and others.
