Christian Devotional – December 3, 2012

VERSE:
Acts 17:16–Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was being provoked within him as he was observing the city full of idols.

TRUTH:
Paul had just fled for his life in two narrow escapes, yet as he was supposed to be hiding out in Athens, he couldn’t help but see the people hurting and in need of the message of Christ. Do we see the need for Christ everywhere? Or, do we get too focused on our own situation and circumstance?

RESPONSE:
Father, You see the needs of all the people and You bring me into the place where I have contact with those who need You I will stop focusing only on me and focus on You so that I see and respond to those who are hurting around me and in need of You.
