Christian Devotional – December 7, 2014

Read Judges  chapter 6

VERSE:

Judges 6:14–The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

TRUTH:

We are to go in the strength that we have. Sometimes we fail to follow through with what we feel God is leading us to do because we don’t think we measure up or have the skills necessary to accomplish the task. However, God is reminding Gideon (who felt those very things) that God was up to the task and that all Gideon had to do was be obedient to go and that since God was sending him, he would be victorious. Are we willing to go and do with the strength that we have? God will supply all we need if we are obedient to follow Him.

RESPONSE:

Father, I need Your strength as I can’t possibly hope to accomplish all that you have for me. I need You! I will go and I will do what You’ve given me to do, knowing that You will supply everything I need at the moment I need it.
