Blessed is the Word, נ
What guides our path? God’s Word. Read Psalm 119:105-112.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord , according to your word. Accept, Lord , the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law. The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.

So many amazing verses here, but verse 105 always stands out to me. God’s word is a light to our path. So many times we find ourselves struggling to understand what is God’s path for our life. We want to know our purpose and we want to know God’s plan, and we want to know right now.
However, God doesn’t reveal his plans that way. God reveals them like a candle light on a path in the dark, one step at a time. We must continue to be faithful to take the one step that God has before us so that we continue on the path he has, even when we have no idea where that path may lead.
Do we trust God enough to follow the path he has for us? Do we search his word to understand and see the light to enable us to take the next step?
