Christian Devotional – February 13, 2016

Read John chapter 7

VERSE:

John 7:18–Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

TRUTH:

Who are we speaking for? When we open our mouth and words start to come out, are they a reflection of us or are the a reflection of the one who sent us? We are to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ and we are to share His message with the world, but if we are busy sharing words that glorify only ourselves, then we will miss out on the opportunity to glorify God. As we go throughout today, let’s focus on our words being a reflection of Him.

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You for giving Your words to us. Help me to share those words today so that I may be a reflection of You. I know that You are able to work and to move through me and I pray that I will be seeking Your glory today and not my own.
