Read Galatians chapter 5

VERSE:

Galatians 5:16–So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

TRUTH:

Our spirit and our flesh are at war with one another within us. This is why we feel such a struggle to obey what God has for us. As we are looking and seeking after what God desires, our flesh will try to turn us back to selfish ways. We must be constantly on guard against this for our own selfish desires of the flesh do no glorify God. Are we walking by the spirit or the flesh today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You and thank You for all You have done in my life. Keep me focused on You. I want to walk by the Spirit today. I desire that You follow with me and keep me focused on all that You are doing so that my flesh doesn’t have a chance to distract me.
