Christian Devotional – February 15, 2016

Read John chapter 8

VERSE:

John 8:12–When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

TRUTH:

Have we ever stumbled around in the dark? I know that I have stubbed my toe on the furniture because I was too “busy” to bother with turning on a light before I stepped into a dark room to just grab something quickly. When we are stuck in the dark, we do not see all the dangers that are around us. God is the light and He sees all, so as we follow Him, His light brightens up everything that we are seeing and experiencing. We can walk confidently, not hesitantly, through the areas that God leads us, because our eyes are firmly fixed on Him. Where is or focus today? Are we walking in darkness or light?

RESPONSE:

Father, I desire to be in the light and to see clearly Your way for me. I know that You are able to do so many amazing things and I will trust You to do all that You have planned through me. Thank You for all that You do.
