Christian Devotional – February 18, 2016

Read John chapter 11

VERSE:

John 11:4–When he heard this Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

TRUTH:

Even the difficulties and hard times in our lives have a purpose. Jesus knew that, for Lazarus, this difficulty would not end in death, but would result in the glory of God. As we are experiencing difficulties and hard times, we need to understand that God is going to work and to move through the easy and the tough times in our lives so that we are a conduit through which God can display His glory. Are we willing to allow God to bring whatever He will into our lives so that He can use us to display His glory?

RESPONSE:

Father, I want to thank You for all that You have done and all that You do through me. I often don’t understand the reasons behind why I go through the things that I do, but I desire to be in Your will and be used for Your glory. Take all that I am and move to display Your glory to the entire world.
