Christian Devotional – February 21, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 46

VERSE:

Psalm 46:10–He says, “Be still, and know that I am God I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

TRUTH:

In today’s society, the idea of being still is almost terrifying to people. We are a people who are on the go from the moment we wake up to the moment we fall exhausted back into bed. When we are busy with activity we find it difficult to remember that God is truly still God and that He is in control of all the things. When we take the time to stop and be still. We can truly reflect on all the things that God has done in our life when we take the time to actually be still. When was the last time we were still and exalted God.

RESPONSE:

Father, I will praise You and take the time to be still. I know that You are God and I will focus on You. I thank You for those moments. I will look for you and will not be afraid to take time to be still. I know You are God and I will be still today.
