Christian Devotional – February 24, 2016

Read John chapter 16

VERSE:

John 16:13–But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

TRUTH:

We don’t always know what the right answer is in every situation. This may come as a shock to some of us, but it’s true. However, we can know the One who does know the right answer in every situation. Thankfully, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to come into the world and to help give us insight into what He has for us and how we should respond in every situation. Do we listen? Or are we so busy plowing through the things we think we need to do or the things we think we ought to do that we miss out on hearing that still small voice directing us in all truth. Will we listen today?

RESPONSE:

Father, help me be calm and listen to the voice of truth that You have provided for me. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit and help me to learn to live and move only as the Holy Spirit directs. Keep me still to hear His direction and give me courage and boldness to act when He prods.
