Read Song of Songs chapter 5

VERSE:

Song of Songs 5:16–His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, this is my friend, daughters of Jerusalem.

TRUTH:

Here she indicates that her spouse is not just her lover, but is her friend. Do we consider our spouse our very best friend? God designed marriage to not be just between lovers, but to be a commitment between friends. Do we consider our spouse to be our very best friend and do we treat him/her that way?

RESPONSE:

Father, thank You for guiding me, not just to a husband, but to a friend. You have given me my very best friend that I can share anything with. Thank You for him and I will tell others about his friendship and love.
