Read Psalm chapter 52

VERSE:

Psalm 52:7–Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others.

TRUTH:

The people looked and saw the consequences of not making God their stronghold. They could easily compare when a person placed his trust in God verses when he was trusting in his own wealth. What are we placing our trust in? We also have plenty of examples to compare in our daily life. Will our trust hold up in the times of trials or will we be the laughing-stock of others?

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You for being the One I can trust in and rely on. You are my stronghold and in You I will place my trust.
