Christian Devotional – February 5, 2014

Read Revelation chapter 5

VERSE:

And they sand a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”

TRUTH:

As those around the throne praise and worship God, they see a scroll and realize only Jesus is worthy of opening it. He is worthy because He was perfect and yet sacrificed Himself and was killed. Through His blood, He purchased salvation for everyone who believes in Him. People from every tribe and tongue will be represented as believers through the gift of salvation that was purchased by Jesus.

RESPONSE:

Father, You died for all and Your sacrifice gave You the right to stand up and take the scroll. Your gift of salvation has touched my life and the lives of so many others as we believe in You and I am proud to call them brothers and sisters regardless of their nationality or ethnicity.
