Christian Devotional – February 6, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 37

VERSE:

Psalm 37:7–Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

TRUTH:

We get distracted by the world. When we should be focusing only on God, instead we start to see the people around us who seem to be succeeding in wickedness. We have to keep our eyes focused on Jesus for only then will we see God first and keep everything in the proper perspective. God sees the wicked and He knows that they will fall to nothing eventually. We must be patient and wait on the Lord’s timing.

RESPONSE:

Father, I will wait on You no matter what the future holds. I will stay focused only on You and not get distracted by the wicked that are around me. It doesn’t matter whether they seem to succeed on not, for in the end, I know that You are victorious over all.
