Christian Devotional – January 12, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 12

VERSE:

Psalm 12:1–Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.

TRUTH:

There are certainly days and times when I have felt this way. Being betrayed or abandoned by everyone I thought was supposed to stand with me hurts and can make it difficult to trust people going forward. David had been there. He prayed to God about it because he knew that even if the whole world left him and abandoned him, God would remain. We can hold on to the same hope. No matter what others do, God will never leave us or forsake us. He is faithful. He is loyal. He loves us and desires a relationship with us. We can trust in Him, no matter what.

RESPONSE:

Father, You are loyal and faithful and I will put my trust in You. You will never abandon me, so even during the times I feel alone, I’m not. You are always right with me, leading me and guiding me in Your ways, if I will only listen and obey. I will trust You today, no matter what others do around me.
