Nehemiah 3:13-19 NASB
So many names and places that are listed here. What an amazing record of obedience to God! As we read through this list, it can be easy to get lost in all the names of people and places, but what is overwhelmingly present throughout is the obedience of these people. God remembers and records their obedience. God knew and understood what it took to follow Him, even in the midst of the opposition.
As we read through these names, do we see the obedience listed here? Do we understand all that these people went through to be able to do all that they did? These people built doors and walls and made repairs. Do we recognize their obedience and would the same be said of us?
