Christian Devotional – January 16, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 16

VERSE:

Psalm 16:4–Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour our libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips.

TRUTH:

Are we running after other gods? Each day we have the opportunity to choose what we focus on and run after. Are we focusing on Jesus Christ or are we running after other gods such as career, money, influence, gossip, time, or anything else that may take the place of the One true God. We must not praise them in any way as only God Himself is worthy of all praise. We must choose.

RESPONSE:

Father, I choose You. I will run after You and You only. You are the One I desire and I will seek after You and praise You alone.
