Christian Devotional – January 23, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 23

VERSE:

Psalm 23:1–The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

TRUTH:

Do I really believe that I lack nothing? As we go through our life, we are constantly bombarded with messages about things we need and should have. We grow up with an expectation of what we deserve to have and what we don’t. However, God is our shepherd. He is the One responsible for overseeing our needs. Do we trust Him to do that on a moment-by-moment basis? Because of od, we truly lack nothing.

RESPONSE:

Father, often I get distracted by all the things I think I need., but truthfully, as long as I have You. I lack nothing. You know and meet my every need and I will trust You to provide that for me. Thank You for supplying everything I lack.
