Psalm 26:8–Lord, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.
David was referring to the tabernacle where God had bestowed His glory. David loved to go into the house of the Lord to worship. Today, we certainly need to love and enjoy the churches where we gather to worship, but if we’ve repented and turned to God, then His Son Jesus Christ lives in our hearts. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:16 that we are God’s temple and the Spirit of God dwells in us. Do we love and respect ourselves as a dwelling place for the glory of God?
Father, Your glory is all that matters. I will desire to love and respect myself just like I do You. You dwell in me and I will seek to bring You glory in everything I do.
