Christian Devotional – January 29, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 29

VERSE:

Psalm 29:11–The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

TRUTH:

We don’t develop our own strength. This isn’t something that we just work up. Strength comes from the Lord. The Lord also gives us peace. According to this verse, the strength is a gift and the peace is a blessing. We need His strength to make it though every aspect of our day. His strength is also part of His peace. As we are leaning on Him and rusting in Him to have the strength we need for each day, God also blesses us with peace to be calm in the midst of anything that comes through the day. Are we leaning on His strength and resting in His peace?

RESPONSE:

Father, You are my source of peace and my source of strength. I will trust in You today and allow Your strength to lead and sustain me today. I will not get rattled or shaken by anything that comes up today because I am resting in Your peace.
