Read Proverbs chapter 7

VERSE:

Proverbs 7:2–Keep my commands and you will live, guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.

TRUTH:

Solomon, speaking here, is giving some advice in this chapter about the danger of lust and adultery. It’s important to understand that like any advice, unless we actually follow it, and do what it says, it means nothing. The only way we can live as God intended us to live is if we are actually doing the things we know to be correct. Do we listen to and follow the wisdom of God and the other godly people in our life? If we only hear it and do not do it, we have gained nothing.

RESPONSE:

Father, Your commands are given with wisdom to help us and keep us following You. I pray that You will help me to follow through on the commands that You give so that I may not stumble and fall and sin against You.
