Read Psalm chapter 9

VERSE:

Psalm 9:13-14–Lord, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, that I may declare your praises in the gates of daughter Zion, and there rejoice in your salvation.

TRUTH:

David, like many of us, prayed asking God to save him from troubles and persecution. However, David gave the Lord a specific reason to save him. He asked to be saved so that he could declare the praises of God. Do we ask for God to rescue us from situation? Why? God desire His glory and He does things for His own glory. If He chooses to rescue us from difficult circumstances, it will be so He receives the glory. Do we give God the glory in every situation we face and in all the ways He intervenes for us?

RESPONSE:

Father, Your glory is my priority. I will declare Your glory in every situation and it is only through You that I accomplish anything at all.
