Christian Devotional – July 10, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 18:3–All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers on earth as soon as a standard is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and as soon as the trumpet is blown you will hear it.

TRUTH:
When a nation faces judgment and destruction that the Lord has allowed, it always is a warning to the others around it. The destruction is public and visible to others. God wants others to see it and be brought to repentance and come back to Him. He hopes that others will learn from the example of those who have fallen. Do we take heed and learn from the examples we see around us?

RESPONSE:
Lord, I desire to learn from every opportunity You give me. I know that You place warning signs in my path, help me to see those for what they are and to turn back to You.
