Christian Devotional – July 13, 2018

Why do we ask God to save us? When we are experiencing difficulties, why do we desire God’s rescue?  Why should He rescue us? Read Psalm chapter 106.

Save us, O Lord our God, And gather us from among the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And glory in Your praise.

The psalmist was asking for salvation and rescue also, but he was asking for a purpose. He reminded God that by saving His people, God is also causing other people to praise and give thanks to God. God is worthy of praise and glory. The things that He does are done with the purpose of resulting in praise. Do we seek His praise snd desire to have others seek His praise as well?
