Christian Devotional – July 14, 2013
VERSE:
Jeremiah 15:16–When your words came, I ate them, they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God almighty.
TRUTH:
When we study God’s Word, it is to be our joy and the delight of our hearts. Why? We represent the name of the Lord Himself. His name rejoices in His words. If we are not allowing His name to be over all that we do, then we will not find joy in spending time in His word.
RESPONSE:
Father, Your name is holy and righteous and I desire that You move and work through me with Your name. As I surrender to You more and more, Your words will hold even greater joy for me. I want to desire You, Your name and Your words, even more today than yesterday.
