Christian Devotional – July 14, 2014

Read 1 John chapter 4

VERSE:

1 John 4:7-8–Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

TRUTH:

God is love and because He is, we are able to be love to those we are around. We cannot truly love outside of God. People will try to love, but anything done outside of God is simply a cheap imitation and not truly love. Do we know God and are we displaying God’s love to everyone we come into contact with today? God is love.

RESPONSE:

Father, I will love as You love today. You have given me everything and only through You do I even know exactly what love is.
