VERSE
1 Peter 4:11–If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever, Amen.
TRUTH:
Let’s take inventory. When we look back at the words we spoke yesterday, do they look like they were the words of God? When we look back at the way we served yesterday, did we even serve at all? If we did serve was in in God’s strength or our own strength. As we take inventory of what yesterday looked like, what do we need to repent of, for if we didn’t do those things, then we didn’t bring God the glory and the praise that He deserves. Now, as for today, will we submit to Him so that every word that comes forth is the words of God? Will we serve everyone we come into contact with through the very strength of God? Will we see God praised through Jesus Christ in all things that we do today?
RESPONSE:
Father, I will submit to You. Don’t let me say anything today except what You have for me to say. Do let me miss out on serving opportunities and when I do serve, give me the strength I need to do it, for I can’t do it in my own strength. I want my life today to bring You praise, for You are worthy!
