Christian Devotional – July 24, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 32:17–And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

TRUTH:
Righteousness in our lives produces specific results. When God shares His righteousness and we are living a life that is pleasing and right before Him, we experience His peace and confidence in every situation. That is the result of righteousness in our lives. If we are not seeing God’s peace or if we don’t experience the confidence of trusting in Him, we must go back and ask ourselves if we are truly seeking His righteousness in our life for these characteristics are a result of Him in our life.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are righteous and holy. Only through You can I experience the peace and confidence that will allow me to face any circumstance. Forgive me for not seeking Your righteousness every day, cleanse me, and help me to allow You and Your righteousness to fill every part of my life today.
