Christian Devotional – July 27, 2016

Read 1 Kings chapter 5

VERSE:

1 Kings 5:7–When Hiram heard Solomon’s message, he was greatly pleased and said, “Praise be to the Lord today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation.”

TRUTH:

When we are following God’s commands, other people will notice. More than that, they will be drawn to praise God as a result of the things that we do. Hiram praised God for the way that Solomon was responding. When we respond to the people around us, do others result in praise God because of us?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that if I am giving my own responses, people will not be drawn to You. I muse give Your responses to the situations that I face. I will praise You and lift You up as I am showing obedience to You. I pray that You will be able to draw others to Yourself as a result of seeing my obedience to You.
